Official Rules for the Amazing Race Dauphin

Welcome to the Amazing Race Dauphin! We’re thrilled to have you join us for this fun and challenging adventure. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please carefully review the following rules and guidelines:

General Rules: 

  1. Team Composition:
  • Each team must consist of two members. All members must stay together throughout the race unless otherwise instructed.
  1. Check-In:
  • Teams must check in at the designated starting point at least 30 minutes before the race begins.
  1. Participation Waiver:
  • All participants must sign a waiver before the event. Minors require parental or guardian consent.

Race Guidelines:

  1. Clue Instructions:
  • Teams will receive clues at each location leading them to the next challenge or destination.
  • Clues must not be tampered with or shared with other teams.
  1. Challenge Completion:
  • Teams must complete all challenges before proceeding to the next location.
  • Challenges may require physical, mental, or creative tasks. A judge will verify completion before issuing the next clue.
  1. Team Travel:
  • Teams must travel on foot or using the transportation methods provided or permitted during the race. Personal vehicles are not allowed unless specified.

Fair Play: 

  1. Respect for Others:
  • Teams must demonstrate respect for other participants, volunteers, and the public.
  • Sabotaging other teams or interfering with their progress is strictly prohibited.
  1. Honesty:
  • Cheating of any kind, including skipping challenges or using unauthorized shortcuts, will result in disqualification.
  1. Team Spirit:
  • Collaboration between team members is encouraged. However, alliances or sharing information with other teams is not permitted unless explicitly allowed.

Safety Rules:

  1. Follow Instructions:
  • Teams must follow all instructions provided by race officials and volunteers.
  • Do not enter any restricted areas or locations not designated as part of the race.
  1. Emergency Protocol:
  • In case of an emergency, contact race officials immediately. Emergency contact numbers will be provided at the start of the race.
  1. Weather Policy:
  • The race will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. Updates will be communicated via email.

Winning the Race: 

  1. Finish Line:
  • The first team to successfully complete all challenges and cross the finish line will be declared the winner.
  1. Tie-Breakers:
  • In the event of a tie, a special tie-breaker challenge will determine the winner.
  1. Prizes:
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. Details will be announced at the finish line.
  • A prize will be awarded to the person with the most pledges.

Additional Notes: 

  • Teams should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable footwear for walking or running.
  • Bring a fully charged phone for emergency use, but online searching for answers during the race may be restricted, depending on the challenge.
  • Have fun and embrace the spirit of adventure!
