General Questions
What is the Amazing Race Dauphin?
The Amazing Race Dauphin is a fun and challenging event inspired by the Amazing Race Canada. Teams of two will complete tasks, solve clues, and navigate various locations around Dauphin. Proceeds from the event support the Dauphin Countryfest Community Cinema.
When and where is the event happening?
The race will take place on September 6th, 2025. Check-in begins at 9:00 am, and the race will start at 10:00 am. The starting location will be announced closer to the event date.
Who can participate?
Participants must be 14 years or older. Teams consist of two people, and we are capping participation at 10 teams.
How much does it cost to participate?
The cost is $250 per contestant ($500 per team). This fee can be covered by collecting pledges or sponsorships.
How do I register?
Visit the Registration Page to sign up your team. You’ll need to provide your team name, participant information, and contact details.
Can I volunteer instead of participating?
Absolutely! We need plenty of volunteers to help make this event a success. Visit our Volunteer Page to learn more about available roles.
Race Details
What kinds of challenges can we expect?
The challenges will be a mix of physical, mental, and creative tasks designed to test teamwork and problem-solving skills. Examples might include puzzles, trivia, obstacle courses, or scavenger hunts.
How long will the race take?
The race duration may vary, however, the race will be completed by 5:00 pm.
What happens if it rains?
The race will go ahead rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. In the event of extreme weather conditions, we will communicate any changes.
Can I use my phone to help during the race?
The use of cell phones or another electronic devices is prohibited. However, participants may request assistance from third parties for directions during the race.
Sponsorship and Fundraising
How do I collect pledges or sponsors?
Once registered, you’ll receive tools to help you collect pledges and sponsorships, including online links and printable pledge forms. Visit the Sponsor a Team page for more details.
Is there a prize for raising the most pledges?
Yes! The individual who raises the most money will win two year-long passes to the Dauphin Countryfest Community Cinema.
Can I make a donation if I’m not racing?
Of course! Visit the Sponsor a Team page to support a team or make a general donation to the cause.
Logistics
Do we need our own transportation?
No. Teams must travel on foot or use transportation methods provided or specified during the race.
What should I bring on race day?
Bring comfortable clothing and footwear, water bottles, sunscreen (if applicable), and your competitive spirit!
Are there any safety precautions in place?
Yes, we have a first-aid team on standby, and volunteers will be stationed throughout the course to ensure participant safety.

How will winners be determined?
The first team to successfully complete all challenges and cross the finish line will be declared the winner.
Can we participate if we’re not local to Dauphin?
Absolutely! We welcome teams from outside Dauphin to join in the fun.
